Stops the Transfer of Microorganisms through "Green" Technology. The AMS Omni-Shield® Anti-Microbial Gloves are State-of-the-Art, and provide anti-microbial protection that last the life of the product.
The AMS technology is actually built into the polyvinyl chloride film of the food service glove, thus it is durable and will last the life of the glove. Because this technology is part of the polymer, it will effectively kill bacteria and fungi and greatly reduce the occurrence of living organisms being transferred from the glove to another item, especially food items.

Antimicrobial Assessment
Samples were evaluated using AATCC Test Method 100, Quantitative Antibacterial Assessment.
PROCEDURE: AATCC test Method 100 was used to quantitatively test the specimens for activity. Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC #6538) was used as the test organism. Sterile 10% nutrient broth in phosphate buffer was used to dilute the inoculum. 0.05% Tween 80 was added to the inoculum as a wetting agent. The samples were incubated for 0 hours, 1 hour and 24 hours at 37°C. Nutrient agar was used as the plate count agar and letheen broth was used as the diluent. Samples were tested in triplicate and the results averaged.
RESULTS:
Quantitative Assessment of Activity - AATCC Method 100
Staphylococcus aureus
| Specimen Description | Contact Time | No Bacteria Recovered | Log Reduction |
| 0 hour | 5.00 x 101 | 3.6 | |
| Polyvinyl food service gloves | 1 hour | 5.00 x 101 | 3.6 |
| 24 hours | 5.00 x 101 | 3.6 | |
| 0 hour control sample | 0 hours | 1.99 x 105 | ------ |
The reduction scores were calculated by comparison of the number of viable organisms recovered from the specimen 24 hours after inoculation, with the number recovered immediately after inoculation.
Conclusion: Using the quantitative test method 100 procedure, the sample demonstrated good activity against the Staphylococcus aureus test organism after the 24 hour contact time.
